Leslie A Mataya

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Critical Care)

Leslie Mataya, MD is a pediatric intensivist with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2016, then completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in 2019. While in residency, Dr. Mataya underwent a clinical ethics fellowship at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics. Susan M Slattery

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Neonatology)

Susan Slattery , M.D., MS is an attending physician in the division of Neonatology and Center for Autonomic Medicine in Pediatrics (CAMP). Her long-term goal is to define the development of respiratory and autonomic control in premature and term infants; identify maturational milestones of physiologic stability in infants to optimize opportunity for growth and neurodevelopment; and provide ongoing clinical care for high-risk children with related deficits to optimize well-being, neurocognitive outcomes, and quality of life for each patient and their family.

Alicia C Lenzen

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation)

I am an advanced fellowship trained, clinical and translational investigator in pediatric neuro-oncology. My research endeavors are centered in the pediatric neuro-oncology program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I have close, active collaborations with several Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine researchers in the Department of Neurological Surgery, Neurology and Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. My current research endeavors include the development of early phase clinical trials for the field of pediatric neuro-oncology. 

John B Palla

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine)

My main focus is in the clinical care and research of cystic fibrosis. I am also interested in outreach and advocacy for children with chronic pulmonary conditions.

Faith C Summersett Williams

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine), <span class="secondary">Medical Social Sciences (Implementation Science), Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences</span>

Faith Summersett Williams, PhD, MS, is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Pediatrics with secondary appointments in Medical Social Sciences and Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is the director and founder of the Implementation science + Health Equity Advancement Lab (I+HEAL), housed in the Potocsnak Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine (DAYAM) at Ann & Robert H. Brian E Nolan

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Rheumatology)

Over the course of his trainingDr Nolandeveloped a strong interestin the complex relationship between autoimmunity and immunodeficiency. As a clinician his goal is tomore rapidly and more accurately diagnose autoinflammatory and immune dysregulatory syndromes, and in so doing help identify effective treatments for patients with these exceedingly rare conditions. He hopes to advance translational research in this rapidly developing field as a clinician with a strong background in immunology bench research. His additional interests include general pediatric rheumatology and medical education.

Jessica Teresa Fry

Associate Professor, Pediatrics (Neonatology)

I study the experiences of families who have children hospitalized in a neonatal intensive care unit. My focus is on medical decision-making and the interactions of families with medical providers in the process of that decision-making. I also have an interest in how social media may impact medical information and decisions. In addition to this research and my work as a clinical neonatologist, I also work with the Lurie Bridges Pediatric Palliative Care team to provide palliative care consultation and support in the perinatal and neonatal populations.

Susan M Fuchs

Professor, Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

My research and clinical interests include topics in pediatric emergency medicine such as analgesia and sedation, pediatric resuscitation, prehospital (EMS) care of children, and education of those involved in emergency care of children.I am the Co-PI of the Illinois Emergency Medical Services for Children program, now based at Lurie Children's and have helped to establish prehospital pediatric protocols, and criteria to assure that emergency departments throughout Illinois are equipped to care for children (facility recognition).

Elizabeth L Johnson

Assistant Professor, Medical Social Sciences (Determinants of Health), <span class="secondary">Medical Social Sciences (Intervention Science), Pediatrics</span><br/>Assistant Professor, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Johnson directs the Dynamic Brain Laboratory. We study the brain dynamics underlying information encoding, retrieval, and use across the human lifespan, from neurons to large-scale networks. Research combines methods from cognitive psychology and human neuroscience, including invasive and noninvasive electrophysiology, electrical stimulation, structural neuroimaging, and eye tracking. Outcomes of our research advance basic science and translate to better quality of life.
